The only problem that I see is:

White balance
• Auto
• Daylight
• Cloudy
• Fluorescent
• Incandescent

That means that you can't SET the white balance. You'll have to have a fairly daylight spectrum color to the tank in order to get decent pictures without the use of color correction in your software.

On the plus side...

It goes to ISO-400 which will help to get pictures of moving fish and manual mode so that you can control the aperture & shutter speed.

Self timer will help to steady the camera on the long shutter speed shots.

It came out in 2005. Not sure what the price was at the time, but for a nearly 4 year old camera hopefully that's a good price. I'd double check the used cam market (ebay?) to see what they're running before I committed for sure.

I have that camera. It's not a dslr but way better then most point and shoots.Works great on a tripod even for sports shots.took lots of pictures of my kids playing soccer.
Must use tripod when you go more then 3x and not the best for close ups. But I'm happy with it.Here are some pictures I've taken with it.For around 100 bucks well worth it.
