SPS Growth Question(s)

Ok...now that I have a couple SPS frags, I have a few questions. FLOW - I have an older K3 and my return which is a MAG7. Do I need more? I have heard that SPS will grow thicker, shorter the greater the flow. Less flow will amount to skinnier, taller branching. Is this true? GROWTH - Just observing the Green Slimer frag, I have noticed that the tips went from white to green just like the rest of it. Good or bad?

I think sps do better with heavier flow, most anyway. That combo of powerheads may be fine it depends.how you set it.up. A good test that someone told me is to defrost a cube of brine and.throw it in the tank. This lets you.see.the.flow pattern pretty well. Sps like alternating flow so mess around with.everything until you can achieve that.

I have followed herbs tank thoughts...flow, flow, flow. If you ever saw his tank with all the various power heads going. Well I have 3 mp10s in a 55. If I had one more wall with avail space, I would add a fourth! I think the acros and some other sps get the majority of nutrients and building block elements from flow across them in various random patterns. My sps improved in growth with increased flow.
