Had it a Year or so. Maybe as a last ditch I'll put him in my FOWLR tank. If its starving I guess the cucumber might be doing to good of a job.

Linkya starfish are too sensitive to conditions of most fishtanks, swing in temperature or chemistry and it self-destructs.
I've decided not to try keeping these and would not advise anyone.
It is an old post, so by now it is dead, right ? If that was earlier I would advise to remove it from the tank, so not to faul-up the water.
In the whild it would recover (these even can grow into new from cut-off leg, unlike other starfish) , but you can't provide it with such conditions. Sorry.

Stuck it in my non coral tank and I think my monster chocolate chip star ate it as I haven't seen it in a while(not 100%). I don't know why it started to rot (had a heat spike, got a cucumber and downsized from a 135 to a 42 so it could have starved) but I did have it for quite some time before its demise. Either way I don't plan on getting another star for that tank.
