Suggestions for the advacement of the Club from the Board members

The NJRC Board was wondering if anyone would be interested in being part of a committee to help disperse some of the work amongst our membership.  This way a committtee member would only need to donate a few hours every couple of months.  So we're looking for some people that would like to be more active in the club but have limited time to invest.

The 3 committees being discussed are:

Membership Drive Committee
A small group of people to think up and implement ways to get new members and get our presence out to the masses.

Tank of the Month / Pic of the Month Committee
A small group of people (3) to photo the selected tank and help edit the narrative provided by the Owner of the system.  Preferably someone from each area of the state (i.e. North, Central & South). So each member of this committee would only need to be active once every 3 months.

Group Buys Committee
A small group of people to organize & run group buys on a regular basis.
We would like to schedule some of the group buys in the future so people don't miss out.  The suggestion was to plan regular group buys for things we seem to need every year.

RO / DI replacement filters 2x / year
MH/PC/VHO Bulbs 2x / year
Clean up crews 4x / yr

I could definitely do the TOTM for central. I am waiting for my friend to pick up my macro lens, but I have the Canon Digital Rebel. Takes great pics now without the lens, can't wait to see how it looks with it! I would help on the membership committee as well. Already have a few ideas I was going to bring up anyway.

I can definitely help on the committees. I'm not so artsy craftsy so I think I could better serve on the Membership and/or Group Buy committees

maby i could help with the membership drive committee. i know i could impliment for sure, and think of SOME ways to get more people in our club, but i must admitt i will eventually run out of ideas. a more in depth description would be nice. i want to know EXACTLY what i am getting myseld into before i dive on in.

I think I'm already the President of the Group Buy Commitee:)

Dont know how that happens really, just start them and things roll.

I'll be glad to continue helping with them.

John's developing your database to manage the group buys, President Hef! Congratulations on the appointment. Looks like you have some committee volunteers!

Meeting Coordination Commitee
We also need someone to take over the scheduling and coordination of meetings (getting them on the schedule, reminding the user to creat the RSVP post, getting the TOTM write up, posting the meeting summary, schedule events, recommend "road trips").
