So this weekend I picked up 40 breeder and I will be making a DIY sump. What are some of your favorite designs / must haves in your sumps. Also what are some over rated features. Need some help with how to move forward

also, while trying salvage parts from another sump to make this new one I cracked two of the pieces used for baffles, anyone have any pieces laying around? and if not where does everyone go to get their glass or acrylic for making a sump? Im located in Brick BTW.

You really don't want to cut baffles using a jig saw. You really can't get straight and square cuts using one. I have a 12 inch chop saw with a carbide blade that will cut acrylic. Also have an 8 inch table saw but the blade is not carbide. Not sure how well that would cut acrylic. I also have a circular saw that, with a straight edge, will give you a straight cut. Get the acrylic to me and I'll cut them for you....just give me the dimensions.
