Tank Bowing!?!?!

so just cleaning my glass when i noticed it... its really hard to see but i guess i was at the right angle.

From the end of the tank measuring at the rim its 12 1/2" at the center its 12 5/8". Thats a bow of about 1/8"...

Its a 29 gallon standard, and its nearly 100% level, its probably off by literally 1 degree if anything at all. It looks like its bowing in both the front and back so i dont think this is a leveling issue.

Should i be worried?

I used to have a 29 gallon tank too. Mine did the same thing but I never worried about it. Had it running for about 8 months before breaking it down for an upgrade. How old is the tank?

brand new, maybe a little over a month old. just upgraded.

Yeah I got mine at the Petco dollar per gallon sale and noticed the same thing with mine. If you're really freaked out about it, you can drain the tank and put some sort of brace in the middle. I think it'll be fine though

All tanks bow. That's why large tanks have center braces or euro braces. I never realized how much a tank bows until I made a screen to for my 20L. Compared the the straight edge of screen there was a big gap in the middle of the tank.
