tanks ok a couple days with no food?

We're going out of town soon, I have a friend coming in during the week but she can't come on the weekend. We leave Friday early afternoon, and she won't be here until Monday late morning. I'm a stay at home mom so I typically feed several small meals though out the day... what preparations should I take to prepare them for a couple days without food? I was thinking maybe change to once a day for the week before we go out of town to get them used to only eating once a day and then maybe a big feeding on Friday before we leave to carry them over till Monday?

Thanks for any tips, I don't have an electric feeder as one tank is a closed top aquapod and the other has a screen top.

Unless there is a specific species that requires multiple feedings per day (seahorse for example) You should be fine with 3 days of no food.

I think the last time I fed my reef was 2 days ago. I feed my seahorse tank twice a day though.

I have run of the mill fish and corals.
I miss two/three days all the time.

I usually skip a day every week. The fish do fine.
The Petco in Oldbridge has battery operated fish feeders on the clearance table for $4.00. I saw about 5 over the weekend.
