tech m expierences

I'd like to get a few other reefers experiences with this stuff when used against bryopsis. Maybe theres a pattern in there. I have three, the first of which i don't have my nitrate and phosphate numbers for, but when i dosed tech m, about 100ppm a day, 4 days straight, i also had gfo running and was carbon dosing, i'm pretty sure my nutrients were low, bryopsis melted away. Second time, i raised it for about 6 days in the new tank, 100ppm a day, my nitrates were between 5-10 at this time, phosphates went in between .02-.08. Didn't do a thing for it. After a month or so i added gfo and started carbon dosing again. About a month later it wasn't dying off, but wasn't growing much, no detectible nitrates and phosphates. At that time i dosed tech m for about 3 days, the first time on this tank i unloaded 2 gallons when it had no effect, this time i went with one gallon, all the bryopsis melted away. If i had to guess i believe it's a combo of the two, starving and raising mag, but i'm curious as to other peoples successes and failures with it and what exactly they were dosing and what their nutrients were at. My carbon dosing was using cheap vodka.

Very interesting theory that nitrates/phosphates could have an effect on how it works. I know some people can't get it to go away no matter how much Tech m they dose so you might be onto something.

Kinda why i'm throwing it out there, i had three separate experiences and was able to duplicate what worked, by no means is that proof, but maybe theres something there.

i had bryopsis once long long ago. It was an awful experience. Maybe the only worse experience would be ich - and knock on wood I have not had that introduced to my main tank yet. I honestly don't remember what my trates/phos was like - i just remember steadily increasing dosage of tech M and watching as the bryopsis turned white and then disappeared.

I had bryopsis throughout my entire 90 gallon display. So frustrating. Followed someones detailed instructions on the net using tech m. It was gone in about a week and no ill effects on anything else in the tank. Has been stayed gone for 5 years now. Anecdotal, but it worked great for me and was a LIFE SAVER!

I haven't seen any effect on my tank with this and GHA, it's still growing.

I had a bad problem with bryopsis in a previous tank. After a lot of research online I used tech m and ultra algae x in combination. Worked great
