Temp swing

I'm worried, all my sps look browner and bad. I believe it was due to a temp drop. Tank was fine at 78-79 and was at 74 when I just looked now.. Will they recover? I added a new heater and they all have some polyp extension they just look.browner and the pe isn't great. I'm scared..

You sure it's a temp swing when I do big water changes (30gallons every 2 weeks) my temp will drop like that with no problems from 78 to 74-73

Any idea how long its been low? Also how was the heater broke? Did it just die or was it cracked and leak voltage into the tank?

Our tanks run cold, 75 degrees. I would look for other factors; when sandy hit, our tank was running at 64 and only about half of the sps browned out.

My phosphate is fine and no the heater just stopped no crack. I got a new heater.so I'll see how things look tmm

Patience, just keep an eye on them. I know people who have run full SPS tanks at 71, but if the temp swung really fast it might have upset them. Nothing to panic over, just something to keep an eye on. If you want to bring it up, bring it up slowly.

I used to be able to force my BTA to split by bringing the temp down then back up (power outage would reset the clock on my old aqua controller to a different season, then I'd set it back). No real harm done. Good luck!

We'll I have no idea what happened guys but I'm devastated. Almost all my sps are rtning and even my miami hurricane chalice is receding. Zoas and acans seem okay and strange enough my blue milli is okay. Really sucks. I know I'll prob never find some of these pieces again
