Temporary housing for Goby/pistol shrimp pair

As my upgrade from my 45 cube slowly progresses, I have set up a temporary tank to move all my live stock too. Its bare bottom, but I have a Watchmen goby and pistol shrimp whom been happily living together for the last 2 years.

Does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to keep them in the temporary tank? This will be there home for at least 3 months. I was thinking a glass container filled with sand with a rock on top. I've seen pet shops keep them in a plastic pet carrier but I'm not sure if this is good long term, feeding would certainly be hard if I had to open the lid everyday.

Any type of container would work. Go grab one of those plastic ziplock containers and put a little sand and rock like you said. Chances are though some of that sand is going to end up outside of the container though.

Thanks for the confirmations. I'm slowly migrating the coral and rocks over to the new tank. The fish will be the last to go to make sure things are stable. Also easier to catch them with no rocks for them to hide. I'll need to make a trap to catch the pistol shrimp soon.

I just pulled my pair from my sons tank transfer. Once I had the rocks out he went peacefully. And right a rain they found each other quickly in the new tank. Porcelain crab was not so easy.
