The members here at NJREEFERS are extremely generous,, i can’t tell you how many of the people here just love to help a person out when needed and most go above n beyond what you ask of em,, Today I stoped at Hockeynut’s house to borrow a fish trap,, not only did he lend me one he also gave me 5 different frags one of which was a good size colony,, I wasn’t expecting that to happen it was like Christmas again. Now just gotta figure out where to put them

Forums and community definitely are a huge part of the hobby. Honestly, I'm sure more people who get into the hobby are likely to stay in it if they knew there were forums and local people to help them out.

All true. It certainly has been a great experience for me. It also shows how important it is that we promote our forum and make a greater effort to let the area know we exist. I can’t tell you how often I’ll ask a store something like “do you give discounts to NJRC members”. The answer is almost always “Who”. And that’s a shame. If stores don’t know we exist. How can we expect the public to know. We should have flyers at every aquarium shop in the tri-state area. I feel the club should put together some nice flyers and bring them to the next club function. So members can have them to distribute. (After the “pandemic” is over).
