Thinking about getting my feet wet again... Need Advice

Hello all, I am almost finished renovating my new and hopefully final home and would like to set up a new tank. I am thinking something relatively small not over 50 gallons or so. I would probably want to go the cube route again or at least a deep tank. I want it to be as energy efficient as possible and as low maintenance as possible. I am thinking 1 LED fixture, Auto water change unit so I do not need a reactor or have to dose. (Just constantly replace salt water) I am looking for tank and equipment suggestions. I don’t like to skimp on equipment because it is a lot harder to swap it out down the road.

We have everything you need except the tank which we cracked. Shoot me a pm and come on over to check it out.

Paul....I have an advance acrylics sump that I used on my 40g before upgrading. I believe its big enough to handle a tank up to 120g this way when you get bored with the 50g tank you wont have to worry about getting a bigger sump for the upgrade. Its drilled for an external pump but that can be easily plugged if you want an internal pump. I have no plans for it as I am out of room for tanks and I know it was a difficult decision for you to sell your last set up so just let me know if you want it and when you would like to pick it up....its yours!!!!

Yes, it was a very tough decision. With the divorce and having to sell my home, I think it was my only option. That was not an easy tank to store / transport. I will probably never be able to duplicate a tank of that quality / craftsmanship. At least at my current income lol... Now, with a new house and the mortgage that came with it, I need to keep the new tank pretty inexpensive. Thank you for the offer, I will defiantly take you up on it if it will work for my new tank. What are the dimensions? I really appreciate the generosity of the community!

Paul,
Wish I had something to contribute but unfortunately do not. I am glad you're back in.

I will confirm the dimensions later but I remember it being something like 24x14x16 or something like that.

Hey Paul, good to hear you're coming back. After everything you've been through, the tranquility of a beautiful reef tank is certainly in order. ;)

Paul I finally got around to measuring the sump and its 24x14x14 and is set up the following way left to right.....skimmer/return/fuge. The fuge has an 11" baffle so you can keep a higher water level in the fuge.
