Thinking of getting back into hobby

Well, some of you might remember me from the past couple years. I really just needed to take a complete break from this hobby/addiction so I had to swear off pretty much everything reef related, inlcuing this site and all.

I just went too fast with everything when I first got into this. This hobby just added to some problems I was having.

Anyways, my family and I are doing well. We just moved to the next town over which is Ocean Grove (I swear this house is haunted)

Lots of room now to do what I'd like. Would like to explore the possibility of tying into the basement as well, so Im gonna need alot of help here in the next few months. I'm going to set myself a strict budget for all this so I'm going to build this system very slow and hopefully cheap 8)

One more project we are thinking about is a small pond with waterfall for our front yard. We have a nice size area for a pond and flower bed and this is going to be something of a birthday present for our daughter so we'd really like it to come out nice and all.

We had tons of roots we had to dig up but our neighbor luckily had a tiller we could borrow this week. Pretty much everything is dug up I just need to get some of the dirt out of here now.

One more thing, I have a few items that belong to a couple other people here, I am sorry I lost contact with you guys, I do still have everything that I was holding onto. It's all been cleaned and packed away since I've gotten out and I will be contacting you to return them all.

Thanks for your time.

Glad to hear that the family is all doing well. Your reserved approach sounds very reasonable and having a "reef budget" is an excellent idea. It is easy to get caught up and carried away and good to set bounds and limits.

That said, welcome back!

Hey Ed, welcome back! I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well. Post up here whenever you need help and I'm sure people will be there for you.

Good luck with pond and I'm sure I'll be seeing you around!

Hey Ed,

Welcome back!

Since you left I've acquired a 180 and will be doing a basement tie-in as well. I'm also working on a budget so we can compare notes.

If you remember my messy basement from the time you stopped by to pickup stuff, you're probably wondering where everything is going! ;D

Glad all is well with the family, I remember your daughter was quite a cuttie! Time for an updated picture in the avatar.
