This might be a retarted question.....but

I'm fairly new to NJRC, and to reef keeping in general. I'd like to know how to frag Zoanthids and mushrooms, basically like where to cut them is my major problem. Any1 got a picture of where to cut them, and such? or a video, thanks.

for zoa's cut between the polyps but be careful (paly toxin) wear gloves and eye protection and try not to cut into the polyp itself.
as for shrooms..you can cut the stalk at the bottom and place the removed cap on the sand for a few days until it attaches to some sand or rubble rock.
once it is attached to the sand ,glue them to a rock using super glye gel.
hope that helps.....happy reefing ..al

I try to pry a bit of the base the zoos are on off with a sharp tool and then crazy glue to a frag disc or rubble . If you get a bunch of zoos off at once just cut between them with a sharp razor . I use a sculpting tool to pry off the base rock under the zoos. The tool is kind of like a sharp screwdriver/chisel but its only 1/8 inch wide. Make sure you wear gloves/glasses better safe than sorry .

if not in a hurry to frag, i have seen reefers use a small snail shell and leaving it amont the zoos. when the zoos have grown over the shell you can remove the shell and you got a frag.
