I was hanging out at the Tropiquarium, chatting with one of the staff there and watching as another fed... when the subject of RC forums came up.... and... then... he pointed out that I was "kathainbowen."

.... how do they know this?!?!?

*giggle* they're stalking us all!

I figured as much. It was just very startling to have someone tell me who I was online, especially when we only have little chats on my weekly water runs. :eek:

We met the stalker today. He wasn't even remotely scarey!! He recognized John's avatar, seem nice.

We picked up a few fish and looked at the coral collection. Lots of stuff to look at. Sadly there was only one clam. We're baby sitting a couple right now and they're making me itchy! LOTS of nice efflo frags for anyone still on the hunt for the elusive animal.

I never said he was scary! :p

In fact, they are all pretty nice at Trop. In truth, I love Trop (heh, I only drive 20 miles out of my way to go there as opposed to shopping the crappy LFSs in my area, so perhaps, I'm stalking them in return?)

As I explained to the "stalker," "kathainbowen" is a bit of a joke for me. My first year at Georgia Renaissance Festival, I made the mistake of giving my real name to a patron. That patron turned in a stalker... hooray! So, in the off season, another rennie (a local or boothie to be precise), taught me to always have a "ren name" that was plausible sounding with the name people commonly used for you. Together, we came up with "Kathain Bowen," and the name's been following me ever since as my anti-stalker name. I'd just never had anyone call me out on it and know me for who I am!
