Tsunami video

Yu Muroga was doing his job making deliveries when the 11 March 2011 earthquake hit in Japan. Unaware, like many people in the area, of how far inland the Tsunami would travel, he continued to drive and do his job. The HD camera mounted on his dashboard captured not only the earthquake, but also the moment he and several other drivers were suddenly engulfed in the Tsunami. He escaped from the vehicle seconds before it was crushed by other debris and sunk underwater. His car and the camera have only recently been recovered by the police. The camera was heavily damaged but a video expert was able to retrieve this footage.

Wow, Mother Nature aint no joke! Catching the earthquake affects in the beginning was impressive but recording all the footage of the tsunami as it was happening was really intense!

A horrible tragedy for sure, but amazing footage that was cool to watch. I mean, I'm not glad it happened or anything... but to be able to see a recording of the incredible forces at work and how it can push a full sized tractor/trailer like it was a small row boat and watching the whole area be demolished in a mere few minutes was pretty amazing.

Thanks for sharing James.

True! I wonder if that one small car that backed up in the beginning ever got out of there before it hit him/her? Looks like he/she had good enough instincts to try to get away.
