Turning off powerheads in the night

Is it alright to turn off all the water circulation in the night, except the return pump? I am thinking this will allow the fish and corals rest peacefully. Is this a good idea?

the current would probably drop a bit but i'm sure the drop isn't EXTREME. the ship still rocked us to sleep at night (NAVY).

Yeah it's fine to do. Most of the newer wavemakers have the night mode on them that cuts their power to 50% for 12 hours at night
