Ugg! @#$#%#!!

This is a picture of the bottom back right corner of brand new 120 gal AGA tank I bought and setup about 2 1/2 months ago. To replace a leaking 120 gal tank that took a hit and started leaking! ??? ???

I dont know to cry or jump off a bridge LOL.

I rented a Uhaul van and moved this tank from the pet shop to my house pretty much by myself with some very slow moving techniques.

Really really dont want to order another, empty the tank, take it back reset up everything. :-\

I want to just mount a funnel under there with a hose and just return the dripping water into the sump.

Crap!! That stinks!! Not sure where you are located, bu I have a 55 you can borrow until you get this fixed.

Was the tank level when you filled it?? I'd call wherever you got it from and make them bring you a new tank today!!

I do like your funnel & hose idea though....lol

Think it is leaking from a crack? Or a bad seal job? If it's a bad seal job, wouldnt he be able to seal the crap out of that corner to stop the leak?

i just bought silicone and am practically of use of it anymore. finished my sump. probably check for water test but if everything goes well. you can have it. i know it's not much but a little silicone may go a long way.

Just guessing, but that looks like a bad seal based on the pic.

silicone caulk looks like it disappears in the corner.

i am not even close to a caulk expert, but at the least I think he would have to drain the tank, dry it out, seal it, cure, and re-fill.

What a PITA!!!

Sorry to hear about your tank :(

Sorry to see this.
Did you put that silicone bead on the bottom?
It looks a little weak in the leaking corner.

If your tank is only two months old I would call up the tank manufacturer and take a pic of their bad seal job. The corner should have a lot more silicon in it than that.

Thank you all for the offers and advice!

It is leaking from a seal in that corner it seems I can not find water in the back of the tank or at any other seal above it. So its most likly coming from the the corner under the brace.

I will install a funnel there for now and catch the water till I decide what to do. The leak is very very slow BTW.

This tank is definatley under warranty so they will most likly just exchange it but I do have to do all the work of emptying and lugging it back. There must be 30 corals in this tank some are $350+ I have to be very careful :-\.

One thing is do they expect me to bring the tank some wheres for them to look at it or are they just going to ship me another tank right to my door? That would be ideal then most of the work is done!

Thanks for the offers for help again guys :D

Lets see what AGA says, I will contact them tomorrow.

Are you going to call AGA directly?? I just bought a brand new AGA 180 from an LFS and they told me if I ever needed the warranty to call them and they would get me a new tank.

agree with the above...I bought my 120 from AqOB and there is no way they'd force me to deal with AGA.

I dunno whether to laugh or cry. Laugh because this is FINALLY a REAL emergency in the EMERGENCY threa.

Cry because of the situation you are in.

Where do you live? I'm in Piscataway and willing to lend a hand.

I am sure the LFS store will help, have not spoken to them about it yet. I was calling AGA to see if I could get them to send a tank right to me instead of me having to lug them back and forth. I have spoken to them in the past and they were very helpful so I thought I would take a shot.

Here is the temp funnel solution to at least keep the water in the system for now.
