Some type of softy, thick, only on one rock. Found it on a rock that fell to the bottom back of my reef and it was spreading to the glass. I moved it up higher to the lights and it seemed to shrink some, the parts that were on the glass, disappeared once I moved the parent rock. I moved it back down into a low light area and its flourishing again, slowly spreading to sourounding rocks. There are small shooms and sponges on the same rock and are not botherd by it.
Its not a sponge? And a bright, allmost fluorescent yellow.

I have some too. Its a sponge and a very cool colored one as well. Its on some rocks i got from fellow reefer when he was selling his tank

Could be a thin type sponge, not Coraline, soft not hard, check out the 2ed pic, top of the rock, you can see it spreading.

Check out the bottom right side you can see how it stands out with the yellow color. If that could be propagated to spread to the lower dark areas of the LV!
HMMMM! New project!

Im 100 perecent sure its a sponge. I have the same one in my tank. I will take pictures tommorow afternoon. It does good in low light and a nutrient rich system.

Cool-Sponge Bob- Ill place a piece of rubble on it and see if it spreads to it.
I do have all types of sponges growing on the lower sides of the LR but they are just kinda dull colors.
