Using a mag pump inline??

Has anyone used a mag pump inline before and if so how well does it work/any issues or problems with using it that way.

I need to use a mag 5 to run my chiller....have no room to fit it in my sump and it looks like crap with it in the tank.

Was thinking about using it inline instead and mounting it just below the top rim behind the tank so I wouldnt have to look at it.

If you had to use a pump inline would you use a mag pump or a different brand instead? If so which brand.

mags can be used this way and many people do. bax i think uses a 5 for his calcium reactor sitting on his floor

I knew that they could be used....wasnt sure what the risks of using them inline was....most specifically if they tended to leak.

I have a mag 5 running my chiller for over a year with no problems. When I first installed it I had to play with the teflon tape to get it to seal.

use teflon to seal the threads and you shouldnt have any problems
