I'm debating on getting a clam when I set up my 75gal. Probably going to start with a crocea or derasa. I just want to make sure it wont die on me. As far as the lighting goes I'm just going to use my 6 bulb t5ho lighting. Will this be enough? Is there anything extra I would need to accomidate a clam?

Don’t know what you are doing to supplement calcium, but your calcium demand is going to go through the roof. If your using two part, I believe BRS has a nice little chart that shows the amount of two part for light SPS, heavy SPS and SPS with a clam…..you’ll be surprised!
Here’s what came from the BRS website:
RECOMMENDED STARTING POINTS FOR DAILY DOSING
Predominately LPS and soft corals: .2-.3mL/gallon
A few hard SPS corals or clams: .4-.6mL/gallon
Numerous full sized SPS colonies and clams: 1+mL/gallon
