Making RO/DI water today. What takes me 100 minutes in warmer months is now taking me 150 minutes (per five gallon jug.) I measured the temperature of the incoming water and it's 45 F. With this cold spell, it's only going to get worse.

Booster pump is the key. However I have RO water if you need a bucket or two, Paul.

I thought you had a booster pump Paul.

I highly recommend it. Quite possibly the best $100 I ever spent in this hobby. I'm right around 5 gal per hour regardless of temp.

Sunny, you're too kind, but I'm fine with water....just a bit slower.

And yes, Sunny and John, I do have a booster pump.

At what psi would a booster pump be worth it? I'm usually around 65psi and I get 5 gallons in about an hour and a half

There is some good info on the AWI website. They recommend a booster pump for dual membranes under 60 psi. They have graph that shows the production above 60 to 90 psi and it shows a flattening curve. Not much benefit above 65. I added a booster pump because my pressure was only 45. Now with the pump I'm at 65 and easily make 30 gallons overnight. I have the 150gpd from AWI.
