water testing

I've been using salifert for several years. I'm getting lazy and will try out Hanna checkers soon. I read somewhere that Hanna meters aren't good for specific tests.

Red Sea test kit is good a little confusing the first few times but their are YouTube vids to walk you through

Haha I just asked this question a little bit ago. From the responses I got the Hanna checkers are very reliable except for the calcium. I didn't hear much about the nitrite one though. I ended up getting the Hanna meters for phosphate and alkalinity. I got the Red Sea test kit for calcium. I had the Red Sea test kits prior to this but i needed new ones and heard good stuff about Hanna meters. Like I said everywhere I researched and every response I got the phosphate and Alk Hanna kits we great. I do like the Red Sea though too.

if you trust me (I advise don't), use hana for ALK and Redsea for CAL. don't forget to test the magnesium. they go together. trio or threesome if you will. :)
