I had one and although it worked well at first, it has what i believe is a major flaw. it uses a corkscrew gear system to drive the flow from top to bottom. these parts become quickly inundated with calcium deposits which cause the system to cease. i had to dissamble the whole thing and soak it in vinegar once every two weeks...big pain! i finally gave up on it. plus it is very intrusive in the tank. just my $.02...
