I'm thinking of getting new powerheads to help with diatoms on the sand.
Has anyone tried these?

Don't have that specifically, but do have a wave maker.
I'll never have another tank without one.

I am using a Jaebo SOW15 but the holder is causing it to dip down and also a Gyre but flow doesn't seem well for the sand bed.

I am going to see if its discounted tomorrow on AMZ.

Try to lower the gyre

It almost half way down. maybe if I adjust the fins to point a little more down.

I did,
Junk don't waste your money.... They last about a month or 2 before you get the dreaded code 7 and it dies.
I run all Jaebo slw pumps now and have zero complaints been running 2 20's and 1 30 for well over a year

Thanks for the feedback. I am soaking the Gyre now in vinegar bath then will do the same with my Jaebo.
