Anyone use fish tank cams on the web? If so what camera do you use?

Foscam makes a bunch of different models with a wide price range. All of them are good, but it's just a matter of what kind of features you want (wired/wireless, 720P or 960P quality, night vision LED, etc.) They are really easy to setup and use too.

I'd say do a search for Foscam on Amazon and see what looks good to you.

I use an old smartphone. Build in wifi and the camera quality seem superior to regular webcams. Good thing is it doesn't cost me anything since I already have the old cellphone.

This is an awesome simple solution I'm on the hunt for an old cell phone, if you saw it you'd want it.

the camera your setting as camera download free in google play (ip webcam)scroll down after program starts run through preferences then at bottom start server/write down ip address.on your main device download cam viewer basic add uour ip(http://mxtoolbox.com/WhatIsMyIP/)

go into router settings/port fowarding add your ip then the 8080# if you use more than 1 camera make the 8080# Different like 8014.

fire up cam viewer basic add your ip and the 8080 ##

It's straightforward to get "ip webcam" running in your home network. Once you download it you'll know. The next step is to make it accessible from outside your home network. This step is the same as setting up your apex controller.

Which foscam are you using? Hows the quality, im viewing ur pic on my phone so its hard to see.

That's the one I use and love! I will most likely get some of their outdoor ones to put up around the outside of my house.

I think that's the same one I have too. Not at home right now, so don't know exact model number.

Also, I was going to provide a link to login and check mine out, but my free dns host just recently cancelled the free hosting service and I haven't gotten around to finding another host yet... so it's temporarily offline.
