Ever since I moved my lights the tank took a turn for the worse. I did cut back on intensity two days ago. The leathers in pic are cheap and have been since I upgraded.

Probably just acclimating to new PAR. Been torn myself debating a light upgrade to be able to grow SPS and weighing that against concerns about what that might do to my current LPS and softies.

I agree about the LPS. Softies did not like the move to new tank. Probably get rid of them even the shrooms and ric garden is lost.

Seems to be improving. Sand diatoms appear to be decreasing.
Calcium at 400ppm
Alk is still 7 maybe 8, hard to tell color
Phosphate seems to be zero

Added BRS calcium powder.
Added baking soda for Alk, Randy Holmes recipe.
Added powder BRS Magnesium.
Added Phosguard to sump.
Lowered light intensity.
Did a small 10g water change.
Added 3 small urchins, penny size, all they had.
