Whats with the ads???

Hello All,
This might be a bizzare questions but whats with the "ads by google" on the top of the forums page? Do we all have those ads or is it just my computer thing? Are all these stores sponsors here? If not, why are their ads posting here? Just seems odd to me that half the time the forums wont open right because the ads by google wont open right.

Mike,

The google ads are paving the way for us to put sponsor banners at the top of the page. That is the first I heard of the pages not opening properly (I haven't experienced that). Thanks for pointing it out to us.

They open in an iframe, so I don't know how they'd affect your browsing... 'specially since they're all over the web, seems like google woulda gotten some complaints.

Can you elaborate on the issue?

Tonight I had ads from ImHosted.com and then from Visibone.com, they don't sound reef related. I had noticed that a few times the forums page would not load, and if I looked at the bottom of my browser it said "opening something something google" then the rest of the forums would not load unless the ads loaded, might just be my computer but I seem to keep my computer pretty free of mining cookies, next time I run my ad-aware I will check to see if this imhosted or visibone left any mining cookies on my computer. I personally hate the pop-ups and do my best not to let the even open on my computer, thats why I will never get rid of dial-up, I can close them before they have the chance to open. The 2 1/2 weeks I stayed at my sisters I nearly threw her computer out the window because I would not even have a browser open and everytime I sat down I had 6 ads open, she has DSL.
