Where to get Gate valves?

I am looking for 1.5" inches and 1" inch gate valves. Where can I get them around central NJ area? I live in Edison.

You can find them at any plumbing supply house. I use East Brunswick Supply on Route 18, East Brunswick, and South Amboy Plumbing Supply in South Amboy. I’m sure there are plumbing supply houses in Edison or close by. But for gate valves, be ready to pay 30+ dollars a piece at these places.


If you can wait a week or so, buy them off of Amazon for 7-10 dollars a piece. I think the company was King- something….just do a search in Amazon for PVC gate valves.

Hmmmmm. I’d be surprised if Ace had gate valves. Are you sure they weren’t ball. I could see them having ball valves, and maybe able to order gate’s.

last time i checked in two different Ace stores, they weren't carrying them.

I think I remember seeing Gate Valves at Lowes. They seem to carry more plumbing than Home Depot. One thing Lowes carries that HD does not is Flex PVC (Spa Flex they call it).

Lowes in paterson does not carry them. Fyi. We used to have a ace and neither did they.

I'm an idiot. I posted above saying I purchased them from amazon prime without saying I didn't use them.
They are threaded though. If you can use the threaded kind I'm in franklin park, next to princeton. They are yours for free.

You can use thread x slip adaptors and you should be able to use the threaded valves unless you don't have the space for the extra fittings.

Sorry, I only have 1 1/4 threaded. Those things are hard to find locally. Best thing is to order them online.

i purchased all of my valves from savko in ohio.

1.5" gate valves are $20.

I went with them based on a recommendation i got from a friend on another reefboard long ago. This is a pic of the stuff (i didn't need gate valves, i wanted tru-union ball valves) delivered to me:
