Rg complete has an ammonia binder in it and not live phyto. Basically it keeps your rotifer culture growing with dying due to toxic water. Roti Green is a live phyto and super concentrated.
Sorry meant RG Complete which isn't exactly cheap either but kimd.if necessary if you are serious about breeding. Rotigreen is great also. Instead of dumping a 1/4 gallon of phyto in your fry tank daily you would use like 10ml's of roti green and willmlast until it expires. Just remember if...
All I will say is you will never have enough phyto plankton, haha. On my last batch I think I may have went through 2 gallons. For your rotifers rotigreen is a must. 40 microgram sieve should be sufficient. I never had luck with the TDO pellets off the bat. I start with rotifers for the 1st...

First thing is that salifert test kit is not going to be good long term trying to pinpoint alk consumption. You really need to get an a hanna alk checker. If your lps are growing and your alk is being consumed and should show on the test Second is you need to check the par in your tank...
I used it once on my clownfish tank and my skunks immediately stopped breeding. Was told there was no correlation but obviously algecides can cause a whole lot of issues. Hope they get what they deserve.
