    "Natural" Filtration

I believe clams are filter feeders by pumping water through them as well, not necessarily microfauna. They have no hunting capabilities, just whatever water flows through. Perfect unseen heroes under the sand or in the sump honestly. No lighting requirements since they're non photosynthetic...

    "Natural" Filtration

UV sterilizers uses the UV radiation to mutate the pathogen, parasite or algae so it is unable to reproduce, thereby reducing it's population in the tank over time. I just got one too, for my new build, primarily for polishing the water. Plan on running a few hours a day, haven't given it much...

    Double threaded 3/4 bulkhead

You can get a slipxthread adaptor and throw on the ¾" slip bulkhead. Not the prettiest, but gets the job done in a pinch. Otherwise, give Aquatic Obsessions a call, I get most of my fittings and bulkheads from there.

By the end of the week, none of my oysters were alive  but the CuC took care of em. Clams are still alive and well though.

    Your experiences with BTAs?

Depends on how much you like em. I love everything about anemones, I would gladly let them overrun my tank and take over every crevice.

10 gals display, 20 gals DIY sump

Anywhere else you can store the brush so it's not sitting in your tank? Typically rust is no good around the tank, submerged or not. :D

Not sure which coast my oysters hail from. Would be interested though. If those shells could talk, the stories they would tell.

    Saltwater Mollys

Hmm.. mine are in my DT, swimming around like the poor man's anthias haha. Actually found the baby in the DT too. I do have a trio of them in my refugium tank, hoping they'll have better survival rate of babies under the protection of the enchanted forest of chaeto.

1 of the oysters definitely didn't make it, but I suspect he wasn't alive when I got him. They're sold on a bed of ice, so it's hard to tell whose alive. But the CuC cleaned him up good.

    Saltwater Mollys

Finally got some saltwater molly babies!! Or at least first time I saw one hehe. They've been fantastic with algae. I figured the babies would either grow up or become food for everybody, but there's bound to be a handful of survivors each batch. He's of the dalmation variety. I guess...

6 months for the quahogs, maybe 4 months for the littlenecks, 2 hours for the oysters haha. We shall see. Were you feeding the bay tank at all? My dirty af tank got all that detritus, Reef Energy AB+, reef roids, phyto, live brine and Benepets. I wonder if that's helping them at all.
