I have seen a few small transparent ones just starting to pop out of some of my marco rock, I assume the aptasia came in on either macro or some biobricks I had cultured. In my other tank something just have been in there eatting. So far I have only seen two which I epoxied shut and will wait...
Are you able to get the rocks out with the aptasia? If it’s not to bad when I get frags with them in it I put super glue on them lol. If they do decide to find another hole to come outta, glue that one shut.
Very nice mate, that bounce looks happy!! I’m glad it’s chugging along. Let me know if you ever get gutsy enough to cut it, so far mines still alive too but not big bubbles like yours.
Thanks Eric. Slowly and surely will get there. Corals die, even people who can grow everything have things rtn outta nowhere. Just keep going and learning.
Here is a rescue shot. This favia was the first coral thrown in the tank. It was once my favorite favia however after getting abused for months straight from mushrooms and zoas and gsp I finally found a piece that was under a rock and have a few heads still with tissue. Here it is when I first...
The lid for my reef finally came in and it’s fit quite nice. Was a bit expensive but it’s worth it being that it’s all strong acrylic and won’t dry out.
I took home one of the wwc og bounces. I have tried two so far and they both shriveled and died so hopefully third times a charm especially since it will be in the big tank.
Second go around with this favia after my lobo ate the first one right off the ground. And also third try with an og bounce. This one’s been healed for awhile and hopefully with my bigger tank where there’s area of no flow and I am dosing nitrates and phosphates I’ll be able to keep it alive.
The first one is poto cofefe which grows alottt like cornbreds tangerine dream. Both are very unique and will be a true orange. I am in love with this coral already and I haven’t seen it yet in actinics with orange glasses. I expect to see a color loss across all corals once they settle in and...
Well, I figure the big tank could use some sps to suck up a lot of alkalinity in the water so here are some quick daylight shots using just warm whites and cool whites so I can get a 6500k look. Soon will come the actinic shots!
