Holy ****! That's a lot of fish - and all at one time !? HOLY ****. Did any survive? And yeah, you kind of expect the person selling you stuff to help GUIDE you in the interest of the livestock. I was at Elos Aquastudio this weekend for their 50% off sale - and after every selection...

Hi everyone! I just want a little perspective and to know if I'm being unreasonable. Last week, I placed an order at saltwaterfish.com ($200+) and attempted to use their advertised coupon for first time customers of 15% off. When I applied the coupon to my cart, it only gave me 10% off so I...

how to take pictures of your corals

(if I may) A rubber lens hood is a good/cheap investment to help eliminate ambient glare/reflections from the environment.

    Lighting gels

I wonder if you couldn't bring them to B&H or even contact the manufacturers (Lee, Rosco, etc) and have them matched. THESE are the swatch books I was talking about - they are the PERFECT size to fit over an external flash - so they will fit over a point & shoot lens and a phone lens - but I...

    Lighting gels

Back when I had my photography studio, I used to order "gel samples" from the manufacturers and they came in a book like paint/fabric samples. They were the PERFECT size for my flash (1"x2") and free with over 100 colors. That may be a good thing to try :)

    Hitchhiker Crab - HELP!

Well, it was reddish/pinkish/orangish .. I was too busy freaking the hell out to really ID the som'bitch ... and about the diameter of a pencil.. I just took my tank apart and looked through every rock - nothing. So it's either in my sandbed (which is about 1-2 inches deep) or REALLY deep...

Forget the crab, I've got a huge worm.

well, after taking apart my tank and searching each and every nook and cranny ... I found NOTHING. I am going to try the pantyhose trick tonight. My puffer may go after the shrimp lol so I'll have to put the stocking IN something his big *** head can't fit through ;)

Forget the crab, I've got a huge worm.

it's yours .. IF I catch it (and any others) alive lol. I'm planning to just take all my rock out and put it in a tub and slowly go through them one by one - wearing gloves. It was a pinkish/orangish color.

Forget the crab, I've got a huge worm.

My post yesterday was about a crab that I THOUGHT was killing my fish. Nope. Last night about an hour after lights out, I shone a flashlight into the tank and watched a HUGE (to me) worm slither out of one of my rocks. (It was the diameter of a pencil and about 5-6 inches long). I did...

    Hitchhiker Crab - HELP!

IF it matters at all, I just shone a flashlight into the tank and saw a pretty large (about the diameter of a pen) and at a minimum 6 inches long - bristle worm slithering out of one of my rocks. Sweet mother.

    Hitchhiker Crab - HELP!

LoL he's such a character - he's my husband's favorite. SO much personality in that fish. The way he looks at anyone who swims past his hole .. hilarious! He was setting up his home the first day, and ended up using a snail as "rubble" - well, when the snail started to slink away the look...
