To tame the jungle of wires I employ a controller board and a cart from ikea. There is still room for additional equipment.

@Sponge. You might be right. But I am home now so we will continue to observe. I have reduced dosing to 5ml/day from 20ml/day. So in theory ph should rise in the next couple of days.

I use Kent marine. Didn’t know there is a big difference. Will drip from a bottle instead once I get the time to set it up.

@juano, @Sponge. No the co2 should not change as the windows were closed. There is almost no air exchange with the outside.

    Diana’s build

Well thought out sump. Great work. I am gonna disagree with people that refugium is not big enough, as the SOLE nutrient export. But you can always combine it with a little carbon dosing.

So I was away for two days. I have an apex jr and a Wyze camera I could see the tank remotely. Nowadays many manufacturers have made their equipment accessible through the cloud so the need for a dedicated controller like an apex has diminished. I have the pump, powerhead and lights all...

    ATO

I have used a few osmolators over the course of last couple of years. The pump should last at least 3 or 4 years and the replacement is not too expensive. I only replaced one once. So what you have might be a dud. I suggest just get a new one through warranty or pay the $23 or so.

Tank still new so just want to do something easy. Raise PH a little in the process. Kalk stirrer is an investment. Long term I still want to do two parts. Going to try dripping from a bottle.

My attempt at kalk dosing has resulted in a messy ATO reservoir. I only used half tea spoon per gallon. Any suggestions? Tips?

    Thinking about new direction

Your LPS seem to be doing quite well. If it’s not growing maybe some additives can help.

In the meantime, the 25 Lagoon finally showing signs of maturing, after months of struggle with green slime. You can see the green slime still. The tiny rainbow nem and elegance from reef a palooza have survived.

With the tank running for two weeks now it’s time to think about nutrients export. Currently there are five small fish and a couple of snails. There are very few corals. Bioload is low. With feeding the equivalent of half a cube a day phosphate has gone up to .29 and nitrate 5ppm. I use...

    Coral placement question

These lights are pretty strong. I run a pair of primes on my 25 Lagoon so it’s almost the same setup as yours. Start low. I run my maybe 30% right now and sps are doing well.

A few old favorites come to mind, hawkins, shortcake, milles are must haves. Would love to get a WD when the time comes the ones...
