Anyone free tomorrow morning to help me move 200 gallons (and 285lbs) of awesomeness from my garage into the house?
I've been putting it off as long as I can, but with the temps dropping I need to get it inside.
I know it's short notice but let me know.

Understood.
I might be able host a tank moving party, uh err... I mean meeting. The "meeting" might involve moving a very large and very heavy 200 gallon tank down a very steep and narrow flight of stairs. But we can eat drink and be merry afterwards. :-D

Waiting to see what his definition of "almost nothing" is. Let us know when he comes back with a quote and lead time.

Very sad to see this post. Your tank was a thing of beauty and inspiration for my 200. I just hope that one day my tank might look as amazing as yours did.

I might have an extra SID you can have. I will check tomorrow and let you know. You also need a female/female adapter to update the head unit. If I don't have an extra adapter i'll let you borrow it.

200DD (48x36x27) so it has to go down on it's side. The steps are cement, so sliding it down would require wood.
I was thinking an appliance hand truck with stair climbers.
The stand just about fit down the stairs so the tank (crazy heavy) should be fun.

What is the best way to get a very large (and very heavy) tank down stairs?
Besides paying someone else to do it. Although hiring a moving company has crossed my mind. LoL

If that is the braided nylon cable covering, singeing the ends with a lighter after it is cut, will keep it from fraying. Some electrical tape will fix the ends and clean them up.
Great progress. I can't wait to see some water in the tank!

Last time I saw the tank it was a "frag" tank. Now it's a mini colony tank! Everything seems to be growing in nicely. Really makes me miss my 120.
