Couldn't tell you, hoping to get water in the tank on Sunday & praying for no leaks in my plumbing.

Lets tank filter socks (and SALE)

Keep in mind my tank isn't running yet but I ditched the filter socks & replaced with 7" cups. My thought process was I'm more likely to just ditch filter floss on a regular basis than to keep the socks clean. I also don't really want to throw them in my laundry or buy / store enough to do a...

Thanks Sponge, hoping to be in for the long haul. Broke down all my tanks previously when my oldest was 1. I just couldn't committ to them like I should with the little guy and wife talking about moving. Fast forward my kids are 9 & 7 and we're in our permanent home so feeling pretty good about...

Thanks Diana, I had aiptasia issues in a small tank I had and it was a pain, my gut is telling me to go dry & if I buy a small amount of live rock to quarantine it in a small tank & observe before for a few weeks before moving over. I'll definatly have a Tale of the Tank, I finished the...

    First Time Cycling HELP!

Nothing wrong with bottled ammonia, just make sure it's unscented / no additives. Ace hardware had some powerful clean ammonia. It will let you dose to a certain level so you can observe how quickly it's going down, redose to the same level ect till it can be cleared in 24 hours.

    Live rock vs clean

Morning, I need peoples opinions. I'm hoping to get water in my new tank after an eight year hiatus this weekend. The tank is an Innovative marine 100g & I have another 65 JBJ AIO I'll be setting up. I was prepared to go with dry rock just because of cost & ease of setup however I feel like I'll...

    Best place for tank purchase

In that size if you don't mind all in one and want a rimless I'd look at the Innovative Marine tanks or Waterbox or even the new JBJ flat panel 45 or 65 all very nice clean looking tanks, all purchasable online easily. Otherwise 40 breeder Petco?

    Rowreidr's 20L transition tank

Nice Favia, I'd add a lid / screen top to the tank incase of jumpers, always a bit of a challenge with hob items as the fish will still find the gaps but should help.

    Sump for my 100

The Trigger Sapphire 39 or Triton 44 are what I'm mainly considering, maybe a zero edge aquariums sump. Are there stores in NJ that carry the Trigger sumps?

    Sump for my 100

I'm continuing to purchase equipment for my IM 100 Ext tank. Im a bit hung up on the prices of the fancy sumps. Are the trigger system and other $500ish sumps worth it or should i consider a 40 breeder and a conversion kit from Ebay. Ive never seen the expensive ones in person to decide.

    Allquatics

I think they're slowly trying to get cleaner, they replaced the freshwater tanks recentlyish. They also supplied the water for Macna when we hosted it if I remember right. They do give 15% off to members as well. That said you didn't miss to much.

My new toy .. IM 100 ext

So my original plan was the Jbj 65 All in one first floor, bigger tank basement. Wife thought both in basement was a better plan so the 65 hasn't moved yet from the floor in our livingroom, here is my new tank also in the living room floor till I can get enough help to move to basement this...
