Hello i had gotten one from the reefapalooza and i in the first week caused it to sun burn. Fast forward to now it is really doing well but the colors have been affected. I am wondering wat are the best practices for this coral from experiences. If any one has kept this and can clue me in on any...
Like a super simple starter would be to get the active members to send either their fav photo of somthing from there tank or a really nice equipment set up send it in and pick the 12 most interesting photos. Boom bet that could bring several calender variations. I am really interested in making...
We should make a real effort to get our best articles into it I also agree we put tips and tricks into it. Not sure if this would be the place to bring this up, but I am an artist and I think it would be cool to make graphics and the article like an interactive web page that grows by the month...
You can use peroxide or in the strongest cleans a bit of bleach in water but if ur not going to use the rocks let's say. I recommend letting them sit in the sun for a week. If it's equipment after cleaning with any of those things I rinse thoroughly in fresh water and rub it with rubbing...
Simply put if u can minimize or not put the hands in the tank the less you will disturb the live stock but most importantly less chance of contamination from somthing. For instance not to raise alarm but let's say you went to a large event or facility and either the chemicals from that end up...
I agree with being aware anything on ur hands will end up in the tank. I usually use a organic soap no fragrances or addivitives that aren't natural. It's called black soap. After washing top down I rinse thoroughly and use rubbing alcohols to removes film oil or any possible toxins on my hands...
As you know it is difficult to ballence and test for all variables in any system big or small. Here at the club we are focused on some of the more advanced versions of aquarium water chemistry.
Here I will talk about water basics, minerals, vitamins, and conditioners to start. As well as the...
Thanks Mark. That plucky clown is called Maude and there is a scooter blenny named Berniece. Also the cheato algea is a veritable farm for the mocro crustaceans .
I see it as an important filtration piece/ nursery for micro crustaceans/ a flow defuser. Also there is a ton of rock about 12...
Tank is a 10 gallon with a 30w led trio white blue and indigo a hob for at least a 60 gallon secondary lights and a wave making adjustable power head. I will leave the names of metirals in offical write up. I will have future projects involving set ups and discussion of ato light ballence and...
I have learned a lot over the last 2 years about saltwater and have to thank @Jeremy Brito for the initial equipment including a tank and even some of my first critters! Which includes a hand coral I still have! Also @mikem for even more equipment and my cheato algea with micro critters!
My...
Awesome stuff I have looked into this a while back and plan on making this and a few other things for my tank. Do u have any tips or information about set up? Like maybe a cut and paste program I can use?
I plan on documenting the set up and some of the other parts I plan to build.

If it gets a bit bigger but not much id say they are strawberry or manjino anemones they can multiply quickly but kinda neat looking I have them too but I make sure my tank has high flow and minimal nitrates and phosphates keeping that in check they shouldn't overrun
