Def cold out. I’m using my hot water heater to heat the tank this year and was worried about it too but it seems to be handling it just fine. My sump is in the basement so heat loss is always a concern in the winter. Good luck bud! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What worked for me is getting back to a strict water change routine and chemiclean. I did what you did with the black out but I wrapped the entire tank, minus the top, in black construction bags to block any ambient light. Seems like That did the trick and never saw it again. Good luck...

I don’t mind paying that if the chaeto is clean. It costs far less then medicating because you imported something parasitic from a ball of chaeto. And I’ll certainly pay it to avoid dinos or aiptasia. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
