New Tank - New to the Hobby - I Need Your Input.

Um, yes I was considering a refugium, unless there are better set ups for what I want to do that I'm not aware of. As far as drilling, I think you are talking about the main tank? It's a reef ready 80g, so it's already drilled. If you meant the 40g I got today, than I'm completely lost as to y I...

New Tank - New to the Hobby - I Need Your Input.

I appreciate all the replies, all the info provided and advice, I really do. I do plan on taking things slow, not that I have a choice lol. I followed the advice of a fellow member and went out today and got a 40g tank from Petco at $1 per gal for my sump, also got a 20g tank to use as a...

New Tank - New to the Hobby - I Need Your Input.

Thank you very much, and I should have specified, it will be a mixed tank, heavy focus on corals, with a just a couple of fish in it. (That is the plan anyways)

New Tank - New to the Hobby - I Need Your Input.

So far the only item I have is a DeepBlue Edge 80g (48x24x16), and I will be building the stand myself to save some money ,hopefully. Because I'll be building up this tank slowly, due to budget issues, I wanted to see if I could get the input of the forum on the order of the items I should buy...

New to hobby/forum... could use some insight.

I still haven't been able to find an affordable tank that i like. In the meantime I will be purchasing a RO/DI unit. From what I read at the NJ American Water website, my water is treated with Chloramine, and I believe I need a special RO/DI unit because of this. Is there a brand, or maybe even...

Hey Mark, do u happen to have pics? And if possible dimentions? The user tgee is selling a tank like I wanted at a decent price however it's a 24x24x24 and it won't fit in my sedan, and being that your tank is even bigger I think I might have the same problem. I was looking for a rimless, reef ready of about 50G. However I think I might give up on the rimless idea, everything is a bit pricey, and given that I'm just starting out, i think the extra money could be spent elsewhere. I was thinking of maybe going with a regular tank, purchasing equipment...
