Filter socks made huge difference. It is still not quiet but much better.
I spoke with Will from AQ and he mentioned the same thing about slits pipes at the water level inside the sump. I will try it when I finish filling up with RO water, probably next 2 weeks ;)
Here is a pic after 2 days
So I drilled 4 small holes 1/16 and it works much better inside overflows. But water is still gurgling inside the sump where water is coming out of pipes (a lot of air) but i guess it has to be like this, right?
OK, when I open valve to the skimmer, flow is much better.
How can I avoid noise from overflow? The air is going down with the water down to sump, make loud noise (gurgling flushing) inside the sump, and one of the overflows (this one with shorter line to sump), on the tank part also makes...
After resealing one part of the skimmer, job is done!!
When I turn pump on, that was scary, the flow is unbelievable :o, and looks to me like it is too strong compared to overflows.
Will, you were right :(
But now I have to figure out something, what about sea swirl`s?? I did 2 additional 1"...
One small leak on the way to the skimmer >:( , but fixed already. Everything else excellent :) Tonight I'm filling it with water and letting it run for a couple of days
next update:
plumbing ready! From Reflo Dart I split flow into the tank , skimer and one additional "T" for water changes and maybe sea swirl.
Now time for water test, and test how good plumber I am :)
Looking good Ed, nice tank!
I`m planning to use same pump on my 215, and just want to ask you how did you split your flow from this pump? Do you like your plumbing this way you did it?
Inside the old overflow I am planning to have a refugium(the pipe is plugged).
Return pump I was thinking of putting next to the refugium in the right corner, and return from skimmer and main tank overflows into the left section. But I`m not sure if it will work
Sump almost done! Now waiting for bulkheads from AO, but still confused... where should I drill the hole for it?? Next to refugium section or on the other side of the sump?
Does anybody know where to buy Weld-On #4? I bought acrylic tank and I need to transfer it into the sump, tomorrow. Would it be great if I could buy it locally.
thanks
Adam
The tiles are on the slab, and when I put them I tried to put as much thinset as I could to avoid any empty spots underneath.
When I finish my tank room and tank , I have to finish my 2 bathrooms in addition to getting a baby room ready because my wife will kill me :)
