I always enjoy reading your posts Paul, I can sympathize with a one year old and a job that demands 55+ hours a week. It is funny how it seems so bad when it is happening. but then you realize it is just all memories and part of the journey.
I lived in the riverfront condos right down the street from the willow shores apartments. I REALLY miss being by the water, the river is really nice around there.
since it was frozen I would replace, but in the future you can test rejection. Say your TDS in is 100 and your tds after the ro membrane (NOT AFTER DI) is 2, your rejection rate is 98%. Every membrane has a rejection rating and when they are worse than rated they need to be replaced or you will...
Just one thing, how did you know your membrane was "due", the only way to know if the membrane needs to be replaced is to test the rejection rate %. My membrane is 4 years old, and I don't plan on replacing it until it fails. There is no time frame for these membranes.
I use to live right up the street if I recognize the water front correctly, Palmyra? Hope you don't have to stay late to clean all of that up. My house was not built for this cold in the 60s, 300 watts of heaters in a 40 breeder, and they can't turn off.
The RODI units from Buckeye, BRS and spectrapure are all proven and trusted, with spectrapure being the most trusted usually. For the money this system is amazing:

Since IO mixes to 400-420 calcium at 1.026 and your alk is around 7, I would have to think the hanna meter is the more accurate of the two. Kalk adds calcium and alk in the proportion that corals use, so it would be difficult to get a calcium level that high without putting alk through the roof...
Hello All,
Please let me know if you or anyone you know is selling a 120 in good shape. The front glass needs to have minimum to no scratches, and the seams must be in good shape. I am not interested in any other size tank.
Thanks,
Joe
Thanks for the heads up, just picked mine up! and they are aqueon tanks, the tetra tanks sold now at petco are scary bad. It is the 10, 20, 29, and 55.
