Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
+1 on the fuge treatment, but once again you never know if there are going to be stray red bugs in the fuge. And FYI red bugs are live bearers which does make it easier to kill them off. The first time I treated them years ago they came back in 6 months, so I increased the dosage the second time...
I had a huge Derasa when I treated my tank and it was fine. Unfortunately there are going to be certain shrimp or crabs that you may not be able to get out and they will have to be sacrificed if you want to get rid of the bugs. You can try and remove the colonies and treat them by dipping them...
Your acros will lose color over time. The interceptor will not affect any of the snails it will just kill the shrimp and crabs. The acro crabs will not work. Your pod population will bounce back quickly. I would remove all the crabs and shrimp and do the treatment, its really a simple and easy...
Thanks Richie!!

Those are female Lyretail anthias, you can tell from the stripe behind the eye. I think you meant to say Tierra in the second post which those are not. Yes you can add a male to the group, feed them mysis and other meaty foods. Sorry about your trigger, good luck with the new fish, they are one...
That really sucks!! When I lived in my condo in Hoboken the guy above me would walk like he weighed 700 LBS and it sounded like he was jumping up and down. I told him politely and he made an effort to be more quiet. Unfortunately some people just dont care and have no respect for other people.
Ok cool, just keep an eye on it as it looks exactly like the one that I had in my tank years ago. I may be wrong in my ID of it as a keyhole limpet. I witnessed it first hand feeding on the base of the acros at night. Its edges were kind of ruffled like the one in your picture.
Paul, I had one of these years ago and they are not good. They are algae eaters, but mine would eat coral, mainly SPS, acros and montis. It would eat the tissue right off the skeleton. In fact it seems to be doing that in the picture above.
They are also referred to as Keyhole Limpets, I...
