The egg crate helps with falls. give is a buffer, and it also fives the rock a better footing rather than being on smooth slippery glass. the brs upgrade is awesome! 2x as much water. so if it a 4:1 ratio with the regular it is now 2:1 it pays for itself in no time. the only catch is...

Not even close. And when I was crawling around under the crawl space under the kitchen I noticed a floor joist completely rotted away.

And the little pathways that lead from room to room because of everything moved around.

And the layer of sawdust that is covering everything on out first floor.

My wife is starting to complain about the smells coming from the basement.

Thanks for all the kind words. I have a question. When I picked up the tank I asked the builders if it was going to leak and if I should leak test it. They laughed at me. Should I scrub the inside with vinegar or something?

Can i use any Rubbermaid container or like a storage tote as a temporary sump? I was going to use a canister filter but then as I was driving this morning thought why don't I just use a tote. Since it's only for a short time. I figured the tote I could still be able to use my reactor, Cheato...

Im done for the night. i ate too much sushi! Tomorrow is etch the last of the rock in acid and then start to skin the stand. i only have to make the left panel look nice. the right will be covered by a small cabinet and shelf.
