Joe what I don't understand is if my phosphate and nitrates reading are 0 why the hair algae, and the algae started before I added the new rocks....as I said before I'm thinking to start running bio pellets.

I don't know if pH affects the color of the corals but for some reason most of the SPS I got losses color after two or three weeks they are in my tank especially blue or purple colos. I know not enough light also causes corals to lose colors but I don't think this is my case.
Good question John and same here, it bothers me seeing on my Reefkeeper a pH 7.89 and in less than 8 hours dropped to pH 7.62.
Yesterday was the first time I've seen my pH at 8.03 but I had all the windows open.
