I run two sediments and then the carbon. I normally change the sediment ones when they turn brownish. Its about every 6 months or so, but I only use about 10 gal a week between WC and TO.

If its the same pink one I have it develops a very neon green ring around the eye.

I thought it was neat as this is something normally seen in certain cichlids and sun fish. Not normally in the salty side of it.

From what I've read it's not po4 that causes the bloom but some of the trace minerals that are in NSW.
