Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
If you go with softies, you won't need intense lighting on your tank. To start, I'd go as low as maybe 30-40% intensity at most. Moonlight IMO isn't necessary with leds as I'm assuming they have the blue spectrum incorporated in that fixture. But if so, just run it opposite your tank lights...
not sure why, but i have a love hate relation ship with my gyre. When its working its great, but when its in need or repair, its a nightmare to piece back together
i agree on this, i had a cpr overflow and when they worked, they worked.....but when they didn't it made me wanna push the tank on the floor....also 1+ on the cleaning part of these things as you cannot disassemble for maintenance...i found myself soaking the entire unit in hot water an vinegar...
