I want to trade my DIY refugium. I drilled the ATO reservoir of an RSR 250.
Looking for SPS corals or if you have any other gear to trade let me know.
I am considering doing a large water change this weekend as i heard its a good way to "reset" some parameters/elements to the system.
System volume is 65 gallons with displacement im calculating around 50 gallons total.
I'm thinking of doing 20 - 25 gallons?

Taking it out of the sump would be ideal to lessen stress on the corals I suppose. I know wild conditions some corals in tidal pools will get exposed.
That said, I don’t think I’ve ever lost a coral from being exposed for a short period of time.
Just an FYI to throw out there. I have never been to this groups aquarium show. It says they will have saltwater vendors so may be cool to check out.

I went through a real bad turf algae outbreak last year. Took me a few months to really beat it. I used urchins and bacteria to beat it. Microbacter Clean i feel was a big help in defeating it.
I feed with metal forceps just about everyday and they touch the water. The only other thing I can think is the heater. It is coming up on 2 years but looks to be in good condition and operating normally.
Okay, my ATI ICP test results are in. I am a setback since the results say my ALK is at 7.34 when I always tested 8.5 - 8.3 along with my phosphate at 0.01.
