Two QMP 40 and one Ecotec battery backup

I may be heading down there to buy a house. Can I have MPs and frags as a house-warming?

    Emerald Crab

I have something like 6-7 in my tank. Never see them in the day. I do find discarded carapaces as they molt and grow, and they look EXACTLY like dead crabs. At night, if I shine a light around the tank, they're all out, eating, and fighting for rock space. If you're feeding them, they may well...

    Which Pods?

Have you named them yet? cjk... They'll make it up through the returns as long as you don't have a sponge in the way (Hi Matt!). My pod population in the sump is considerable and I lose some to the protein skimmer and an in-line reactor on the return. Still get plenty seeding the main though...

How high do you mount you’re lights?

Seems 12-18" is average. I'm running a hybrid fixture of 4 T5s and 3 Hydra 26HDs over a 4' wide 20" deep. With LEDs alone I'll run it 12", with the T5s I kicked it up to 16".

    Fish not meant to be

Was in earlier. Picked up a tube anem, a juvenile snowflake clown, a Randolf's goby, 3 emerald crabs, a beauty of a 3" raspberry acro, and a tuxedo urchin. With the sale it just cleared $100. Arr, twas a good fish shoppin day.

    Which Pods?

I used to love Aquarium Depot with the large pod orders, but having problems lately. Agree on the Algae Barn 5280. Though Andrew has been carrying them as well lately, just have to ask. I have a section of my sump loaded with bioballs, I drop half the packet in there to breed up and the other...

    Hospital

Sorry for any delays in answering PMs, sending out remaining shirts, and for lack of forum presence. Resurgence of diverticulitis over past week that eventually landed me in hospital on IV antibiotics. All is groovie, should be out by weekend and will catch up with PMs and such then.

    Aquarium Depot order :(

Used to be you'd order pods from these folks and they'd be jumping out of the bags. Did an order of 'minimum' 1,000 pods and added on a 'minimum' 250 pods order. The 250 pods order came packed with one 3x3" filter pad which they were burrowed into. Seemed like there were 150-200 there. The...

    T5 Retrofit

:victorious: Always told my wife that after a few years in the hobby you'll have basic carpentry, electrics, plumbing, and chemistry figured out, usually through trial and error reinforced with panic and backed by a credit card.

SHIRTS ARE IN (OLD 2019 THREAD)

Sorry Diana. Think its the new format. I always look on the opening page to see what's up and never saw this. No idea what that 'Latest Profile Posts' stuff is either. Anyways, Del dropped me a PM and I'm leaving his shirt outside tomorrow (Monday). Happy to do same on yours, or if you prefer to...

29 gallon tank, newish - Brick

Stored in garage, had freshwater in it for 2 months. It was a bit too big for its purpose, so I went with a 20L. Its pretty much new. I paid $55, obviously you can get it at the Petco buck a gallon for $29. How bout $20 or a trade for an acro frag (something sticklike and red or blue). Would...

Rainbow bubble tip anemone for sale or trade

Bricknick, FYI - nems require some experience and controlled water parameters, they're sort of a pain in the %$$, as, like starfish, they tend to begin dying as soon as you put them into an unprepared tank, and the challenge is keeping them alive. Folks recommend they're best kept in an...
