I just fed my tank Clams, mysis, LRS and live whiteworms which I have aprox a million.
I honestly have no idea how people stay in this hobby without feeding live worms. I have been using worms since they were invented by probably Ralph Nader a long time ago.
Whiteworms stay alive in salt...
I feel by far the fish with the most personality are puffers, porcupine fish or this burrfish.
I collected this tiny guy here in New York in the Atlantic. He must have got caught up in the Gulf Stream and ended up here on a Long Island beach in a few feet of water.
He was fingernail size. I...
Another creature with personality is hermit crabs.
Many years ago my best friend and dive partner were diving here in New York with in the City limits where the visibility was probably 36". We were diving for lobsters and for them there is no need to see far because there is no swimming...
Why I find Tangs Boring.
Many fish such as copperband butterflies, puffers some wrasses etc. have a definite personality and if you look close you can see it in their actions and eyes. Yes their eyes have expressions, not like Angelina Jolie but it's there.

I think Copperbands are a little more delicate than most fish but I also think some of that has to do with quarantine. Some fish, like copperband butterflies, moorish Idols, mandarins, and some others do not take well to quarantine unless you can do it in a large well decorated tank filled with...
My Copperband finally passed away peacefully. And she had the courtesy to die stuck to a powerhead near the front of the tank so it was simple to remove her and she didn't become bristleworm food.
No Ich, velvet, dropsy, bacteria , no nothing. Just old age, or maybe Alzheimers
If she was...
What stories?
I did, but I lost the list.
Not to long ago I went to a wedding and I found a comb in the pocket of my suit. It must have been an old suit because I haven't had hair since the 70s.
I always wanted a flashlight fish.
I will never be able to get a picture of that fish. , I once had a Cusk eel which is a bright yellow eel looking thing for 18 years. I never saw that entire fish except like this fish at night with a flash light.
I killed it by accident when I removed some...
