Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
My good friend gave me this 330 watt LED light because most of it didn't work. I fixed it but they really don't want you to fix these things. First of all there are over 325 tiny screws holding the LED board to the heat sink. Those alone is a real pain to remove. Then you pry the thing apart...
Sounds good. Remember the bacteria in their food. To keep them immune their immune system needs bacteria all the time so their immune system keeps functioning. Good luck.
As for RC. Someone there mentioned my book. It was immediately deleted.

Today I went to an Orthopedic surgeon for a knee pain. I already had 4 or 5 knee surgeries and 3 or 4 shoulder surgeries, but if you worked construction for 40 years and didn't wear out your joints, you were doing it wrong, weren't working hard enough or you are a Sissy or Girly Man. Joint...
Horseplay, well the very pretty girl in the other car was kind of a Supermodel, but she was very pregnant so I called her pretty instead of Supermodel because that is a better term for a Mother to be
No, Not my tank. Don't be ridiculous I have a Undergravel filter, that can't crash.
My "car" was in a crash.
I was stopped for a light having a philosophical conversation with my wife about the universe, the meaning of life, or what we were having for dinner when all of a sudden:
CRASH...
A little more on immunity if anyone is interested. This stuff fascinates me almost as much as Supermodels.
A fishes epidermis consists of, besides other things, various types of unicellular glands some of which are goblet or mucous (slime) glands. These glands secrete slime. (other parts of...
I took my algae scrubber apart so I could smear cement mortar on the screen. I found out years ago that algae loves mortar. When it cures in a few days, I will put it back in and build the LED fixture to illuminate it.
Thanks. This is just another experiment because I already grow algae in that trough on the left side of the picture. That trough also disapates any residual Ozone from the skimmer and acts as a refugium so I need to leave it there. I experimented with it last year and draped a piece of rag...
I finished the experimental algae scrubber and installed it. The window screen on the bottom is temporary just to make sure there are no splashes. Remember, I have no sump so this is over the tank. This contraption also feeds my reverse UG filter which you can see in the clear plastic...
Today I am rebuilding a new algae scrubber that will be vertical which will feed the reverse UG filter. That is the plan anyway. I will not remove the horizontal algae trough because that also acts as a refugium and it loaded with amphipods that I collect in the summer. It is completed except...
First off, Thank you Mark.C for that liquid phytoplankton you sent me. I have been using it and although my corals normally look good, now some of them are smiling from ear, I mean, tentacle to tentacle. I will continue to use it.
Getting back to immunity, I am not sure if I mentioned this...
I devised this method of keeping squirrels out. I bought gutter guard and sliced them in thirds. Then screwed them in. You can see it here and to the right with the cover on. It took be like 4 hours but it is worth it to see the expression on their little faces when they can't get in.
I may have to go back to work just so I can take a day off. I can't believe how busy I am and I am retired for 8 years. I don't know how I did these things while I was working. This week I missed a Veterans Breakfast and a Veterans Bar be cue because I couldn't get the time to get there.
We...
I also installed the system. But I found the problem. Squirrels. Yes, furry rodents. They made a nest under the panels and ate the insulation off about 8 wires and completely cut two of them. I can't believe they gnawed through #10 thhn insulation and completely cut through 3 live wires...
2 years. The system cost me about $24,000 and I installed it myself. The power company gave me about $7,000.00 in a rebate and I got back $14,000.00 from the Government. The system makes, or saves me about $110.00 a month on my electric bill so it paid for itself in 2 years. Now the panels...
Today I noticed my solar electric on my roof that I installed in 08 is not generating anything. Not good. So I pulled apart the system and discovered there is no DC power coming from the 22 panels on my roof. So now I have something to do tomorrow. A few days ago we had a large lightning...
